MEC has a Little Free Pantry on our campus that we maintain throughout the school year. With it being summertime and no students on campus, we are in need of donations to keep our pantry stocked. Donations of non-perishable food can be dropped off at the MEC office from 8 am - 3 pm Monday - Thursday!
Macon Early College held their Graduation Ceremony on June 1st at Discover Church. Graduates and guests were greeted by opening statements from MEC Principal Mr. Parham, followed by guest speaker Oscar Hernandez and the student address by 2024 MEC Graduate Jacob Bishop. We are so proud of our graduates and wish you all the best in the future! #Classof2024
We are pleased to announce the Macon Early College's 2024 Teacher of the Year Lindsey Rowland and Support Person of the Year Jill VanOrder! It is a much deserved honor for both ladies as they represent our school in the best way by hard work, devotion and support for our students. Congratulations to you both!
The first ever MEC Awards Banquet was held on May 14th! Parents and Students enjoyed a great meal catered by LBJ Job Corp. Our PTSO did a wonderful job of decorating and making the night special for all in attendance. Awards were given out for Honors, High Honors, Mentorship, Life Balance and Community Service to name a few. The most prestigious awards were the Top Community Service Award, Medal of Excellence, School Spirit and FOX Awards. Graduating students were also presented with scholarships from various local organizations.

Student Sign-In for the Macon County Schools NC app. This will allow students to receive "Teacher to Student "communications through Rooms.
MEC Junior, Alondra Hernandez wanted to share the significance and history of Cinco de Mayo with our students and staff. On May 1st, she prepared and served a traditional dish of Chilaquiles and Agua de Guava to share with the attendees and gave a presentation to teach others of why the day is so important to her and her family. She did an amazing job giving the presentation and the food was delicious! We are so proud of her willingness to share her heritage with us!

MEC we will be having a Greenhouse Workday Saturday, May 11th starting at 9 am. It’s a great way for students to get volunteer hours and help get our Greenhouse project completed!
