Macon County Schools is now accepting lunch applications and meal payments.
If your student attends Cartoogechaye Elementary, East Franklin Elementary, Iotla Valley Elementary, Macon Early College, Macon Middle, Mountain View Intermediate, Nantahala, South Macon, or Union, they will receive meals at no cost as a part of the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2023-2024 school year. We do still encourage meal applications to help your child/children with other eligibilities and to help support the school district.
Macon County Schools is utilizing a new system and parent portal where you can submit meal applications and pay meal fees. Macon County Schools is no longer using lunchapplication.com or K12 Payment Center, and you are now unable to make payments with your old account.
To continue making meal payments, please create a new account at https://www.linqconnect.com
You may also submit meal applications through LINQ Connect for the current school year.
A BIG shout out to John Hamlin from State Farm and to Discover Church for showing their support for our MEC students! Mr. Hamlin brought donuts for every student on the first day of school and Discover Church supplied pizza for the student body on the second day of school. What a way to start out the school year!

Freshmen applications are due February 17. Sophomore and Junior applications are due March 17.

****SKYWARD ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING MACON COUNTY STUDENTS***** Online registration will begin at 10:00am on Monday, July 18th for all returning students from 2021-2022 school year. Parents are encouraged to register their children as soon as possible. Registering online will keep parents and students from having to attend school on registration day, August 1st. Any new student to Macon County Schools will need to register on August 1st at the school that your child will attend. The Macon County Board of Education will meet in Special Session Monday, July, 18 2022 @ 6:00 pm at the Macon County School Board office. The item on the agenda is to deliberate as whether or not to reopen the process for choosing a new Director of Macon County Schools.
