Panther Palooza is this Friday starting at 5:30! Buy a Panther Games Band for $10 to play unlimited games. Panther Plate hot dog meal for $5 includes a hot dog, chips, beans, cookies, and drink. V.I.P. (Very Important Panther) deal for $20 includes: 1 Panther Band ,1 Panther hot dog plate , 7 Raffle Tickets, 1 Cotton Candy and 1 Cake Walk Entry. Panther Palooza is this Friday starting at 5:30. It's a spring school carnival with games, food, and
family-friendly fun! Donations are needed for the cake walk. Drop off cakes, cookies or other baked goods at the school anytime on Friday. Hand off your donations to car rider staff or bring them in to the front office. We are looking forward to making memories with our EFS families!





Starting this Wednesday, the Story Safari Book Sale will be in the library each day and late on Friday during the Panther Palooza! Our goal is to get books into your kids' hands for Summer! All books are $2-$5 and a few STEM items will be offered. This is a cash and check only sale. Make checks to EFS. See you soon!📚

It's National Assistant Principals Week! We love Mrs. McMahan and appreciate everything she does for our students, school and staff.

It is time to set up appointments for Kindergarten Orientation on June 2, 2026. Appointments are available at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 12:30, 1:00, and 1:30. If you have an incoming kindergartner, please call 828-524-3216 or email kelli.hughes@macon.k12.nc.us to schedule.
Spring picture day is tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7th! Classroom group pictures will be taken in addition to individual pictures. Classroom group pictures must be pre-purchased. Send $13 in the envelope provided to school by tomorrow morning or use the QR code provided so that you can get a memorable class photo keepsake.

Our 4th grade literacy event was an incredible celebration of learning! Students proudly showcased outstanding projects, including beautifully crafted models of North Carolina lighthouses paired with informative reports. They also brought history to life in an exciting way by researching Biltmore Estate jobs from the past and present —making meaningful connections to careers that sparked their own interests and curiosity. We are proud of their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm!
Our 2nd grade students brought biographies to life in an incredible Wax Museum experience! Students researched inspiring individuals from the past and present, highlighting their greatest achievements and impact. Each project was thoughtful, creative, and absolutely remarkable. We are so proud of their dedication and learning!
Our kindergarten students shined during their literacy event! From exploring careers to performing readers theatre and bringing nursery rhymes to life, they showed confidence, creativity, and a love of reading. We are so proud of our youngest learners!










The 3rd grade career and engineering projects were outstanding! Creatively showcasing their reading, writing, and speaking skills in action. Students researched a job of interest and applied their learning to create and present.
Our students enjoyed a fantastic live ballet performance of Peter and the Wolf at school! As part of Literacy & Careers Week, this top-notch production brought the classic story to life through music and movement while introducing students to the many careers that make performances like this possible.
Kids were engaged, inspired, and loved this special opportunity to see such talented performers! A huge thank you to The Dance Arts Co-Op for providing this experience!

Enjoy Easter lunch in our school cafeteria prepared by our amazing cafeteria team on March 25th for $8. Remember students are out of school for Easter break on April 1st through April 5th.
